Kimera brushes are the result of extensive research conducted by Kimera to develop the best possible brushes for miniature painters.
Each brush—from the most seemingly ordinary to the most surprisingly unique—has been custom-made to our specifications to meet the artist’s needs and expectations, whether they are a professional seeking the best tool for their work or a beginner looking to make their learning process easier.
KOLINSKY BRISTLES
At the heart of every Kimera Brush lies the excellence of Kolinsky sable hair. This type of natural hair is renowned for its exceptional performance and durability. We have selected only the hairs with the best characteristics for painting miniatures: elastic yet firm, capable of keeping the brush tip as stable as possible.
LUXURY HANDLES
Made in Italy by the world’s leading neck manufacturer, these necks feature a lacquered finish that feels incredibly comfortable in your hands, offering both a secure grip and a smooth feel. They become a true extension of your artistic expression.

MADE IN ITALY
A brush is a highly complex object that requires great attention to detail, especially in a field such as miniature painting, where even tenths of a millimeter can result in significant differences in performance.
Today, no technology is capable of achieving the required precision, which is why our brushes are entirely handmade in Italy by skilled professionals with decades of experience.
SUPERIOR QUALITY CONTROL
The only way to ensure consistent quality in artisanal production, where the human factor is crucial, is through rigorous quality control. We carry out these checks in three distinct stages: first, during the creation of each individual brush; second, through a batch inspection by an expert at the end of production; and finally, through an additional inspection by a different person during the packaging phase.
CARE FOR YOUR BRUSHES
Properly cleaning your brushes can double or triple their lifespan. Our Kimera Italian olive oil soap not only cleans the bristles but also helps maintain their shape and repair damage, just as nourishing oils do for hair.
To use it, wet the brush, rub it on the soap until it no longer releases any color, rinse, and let it dry lying flat. Don’t let your precious brushes go to waste!
HOW LONG DO THEY LAST?
The lifespan of a good brush depends not only on its quality, but also on various factors, such as how well it is cleaned and how frequently it is used. Certain techniques, such as stippling or particularly aggressive use of the tip, can shorten its lifespan. Use brushes that are nearing the end of their lifespan for these techniques, and avoid letting paint build up near the metal ferrule.
